Business Energy Breakfast

The St Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency will host a free Renew St. Lawrence County Business Energy breakfast workshop April 17, 2012, 8:00AM-9:30AM at the Best Western University Inn at 90 E. Main Street in Canton.  The breakfast workshop is geared to help businesses, universities, and other not-for-profit organizations understand and act on programs available to help them reduce energy use and annual energy costs by thousands of dollars.

Commercial, industrial, non-profit, and multi-family property owners will be able to sign up for free or reduced-cost energy assessments, and learn about cash-back incentives and low-cost financing options from NYSERDA, St. Lawrence Gas, National Grid, and Massena Electric Department for making energy-efficiency improvements to their buildings.  Organizations that provide program support and business financing such as the NY Small Business Development Center will be available to answer questions and assist building owners as well.

Expert presentations will be made by the NY Energy $mart Communities Program, an Independent Contractor to NYSERDA to perform customer outreach; St. Lawrence Gas regarding business rebates/incentives for high efficiency gas equipment, and National Grid’s Small Business program.

St. Lawrence County IDA CEO Patrick Kelly states, “The IDA recognizes that energy usage represents a significant cost of doing business and we want to make it as easy as possible for our local employers to understand and take advantage of available energy cost reduction programs.”

All local and regional commercial, industrial, and multi-family property owners are encouraged to attend this workshop.

Pre-register for the workshop at www.RenewSLC.org or call toll free at 1-866-495-2959. Walk-ins are welcome.
