With a number of higher education institutions in our county, including Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University and the State University of New York at Potsdam, you will also have access to highly skilled graduates to fill the technology positions for which recruitment and retention is becoming so competitive.

These colleges offer, in addition to liberal arts and vocational courses, computer science, technology and engineering degree programs.

Furthermore, the State University of New York College of Technology at Canton is willing and able to provide customized technical training programs for specific worksite needs.

The school in Wanakena, New York, SUNY's College of Environmental Science and Forestry confers the associate in applied science degree for those interested in forest, natural resources conservation or land surveying technology careers.

May 18, 2017 Meeting Notice

The St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency is scheduled to meet on Thursday, May 18th at 8:30 AM at the Ernest J. LaBaff Industrial Building, 19 Commerce Lane, Canton.  Meetings of the St. Lawrence County IDA - Local Development Corporation and St. Lawrence County IDA - Civic Development Corporation will immediately follow.
